Angry 98 Dodge Shorty van v-6 oil pan

Need some serious advice....I'm beginnig to hate this van..it is a 98 dodge Ram 1500 van with a v-6. have multiple problems and need some tips tricks or just the know how to do something.... I need to get the oil pan off to check my oil pump and pick up screen.. do have to pull the tranny in order to get the dang pan off? I know I'm going to have to unbolt the engine mounts and jack the engine up.. Is there a simpler way to do this? other than a cliff? anything would be helpful thanks guys.

Nope, just disconnect the exhaust from the manifolds, remove the thru-bolt from each engine mount and raise the engine up until you can slip the pan out. Remove the air cleaner housing to give yourself more engine clearance.

Is the pan getting hung up on something on the outside or the inside?

Is the fan hitting the shroud?

Did you remove the engine cover?

Is the tranny mount holding the engine down? If so, just remove the bolts that go straight up and lift the engine a bit more.
