Question fuel gage

I replaced the fuel pump about 2 yrs ago. In the past year my fuel gage started failing. I can pull the fuse and put it back in and it will work for a few minutes. Everyonce in a great while it will move. Any thoughts on this maybe a short, How can I track.. Thank you

More than likely a sub-standard fuel level sender on the pump body. I bought a cheap aftermarket fuel pump a few years back to replace a failed original (12 years of service, 245K Mi.) and the same thing happened to me. Had to drop the tank a second time to replace the sender and now all is well.
