Angry 3 speed to 4 speed swap

I have a 99 ram van v6 3 speed auto, I want to install a computercontrolled 727 with o/d from a 360 ram truck. Could it be done without a computer change?

No, the computer is what controls the OD.

Well, overdrive or 4 the gear could be activated with a manual switch, but forgetting to undo so undo it under a certain speed or load could be that pricey Dooooh!! clunk whine shimmey heard round the state.

Overdrive was added to the 727 and the numbers were changed, sometime in the mid 90's. I think it became the A518

I'm interested in the same swap for my wife's van. It's a 1994 MK 3 conversion van on a B250 chassis with the 3.9 v6 and 3 speed auto. She wants to keep the van because it holds all her grand children and their games. I'm willing to change the computer and steering column(if I have to) and any wiring. Also, anyone know if there are any newer style Dodge truck rims that'll fit ?
