Cali PCM in Fed van
Guys,
I've picked up a 'cheap' PCM as a spare for my 1993 B250 318. Problem is it's a Cali version. So what are the issues in using this in my Fed spec van should I ever need to. I've read about O2 sensors and the different emissions levels specified in CA but what does that all mean for me.
Will it work at all?
Will it run too rich/lean?
Will it constantly have a CEL?
If it has the CEL and MPG is not adversely affected, I don't care. If I have to replace something with a CA spec component then I don't mind doing that (within reason). For my year of van I can't find any details of the specific CA specs in terms of sensors, my repair manual doesn't mention it.
The original part of R6027848 and the CA part is R6027850
Any advice ?
thanks
Wilbo.
