IAC valve problem?
Cleaned IAC valve and re-enstalled,engine hardly runs and sounds like big time vacum leak as if valve not seated. There is nothing caught or left in the port. Hooked up electric lead to valve when I had it out and valve only moved about 1/8th of an inch. Did I some how damage valve? JW Miller
It is possible that you damaged it. However, you can get a new one at Autozone for about $30.
You can try resetting the valve first. To do this the engine needs to be at normal operating temperature and drive it at 40mph.

Every Dodge manual I've read about the IAC says never ever allow the IAC to travel outside of the TB port. Only clean it and re-install. I have a How To Clean The IAC thread in the forums here .... https://dodgeforum.com/forum/dodge-r...n-the-iac.html
Oh, about the cap-n-rotor, make sure both are copper/brass for contacts. If they are aluminum contacts; expect engine misses, hesitation, spark arc, computer going wacky, and electrical unknowns in about 3K miles or so.
