I have a dodge ram convertion 1996. My problem is that while driving fresh air started entering to the floor. On stopping i found all heat/ac working and vaacum working correct apart from the OFF BUTTON so while driving with off button pushed in forced air is still entering the floor vent. as the problem is quite specific was hoping i could get some help...Thanks

 

While driving and accelerating (or hill climbing), put your hand over the defrost vent and see if it's also blowing out of there.

 

don't think it is but will try tomorrow and let you know, This did happen once before on hills but freon topup solved it...thanks

 

Well i have cured the problem, also feel a little stupid. Never noticed before that there is a side vent by drivers left foot with slide opener. while driving i stretched my leg and opened the vent. Its now closed and so is the problem...thanks for you help.

 

Stupid you might be , but I gotta say that you've also got a big set of cojones. Not many people would've come back and and actually admitted to what you just did.
