Default A500 tranny OD wiring ?

I finally have the answer why Horton doesn't go into OD. Someone removed the hot wire from the bottom of the A500 tranny all the way up to the plug at the firewall. The plug is slightly melted where the wire should be. Can someone advise where the hot lead originates at the tranny underneath the van a B250 w/318 engine??? I have it scheduled for the shop tomorrow to replace the missing wire. The computer may still need to be replaced if the incident damaged it. Lord only knows what the PO did to fry the hot wire and plug. I know there are two wires in place. Thanks

I should also say the tranny shop that found the problem didn't want to put any more time into this van. He had to trace all the wiring to find the problem.

I'm 86% sure The only transmission related wires which go through the firewall on mine('89) a500 are for the OD off switch itself. All my tranny wires go right from ECM to tranny, through a connector which is not on the firewall, but by the oil pressure sending unit.

Good luck, and sorry I can't be of more help.

Thanks LY. The shop is going to see if they can run a new wire from the tranny directly to the computer plug. The computer may still need to be replaced if the original incident damaged it. It took forever for someone to figure out what the problem was!
