Smile Just bought 1988 B250 van

Bought a 1988 B250 van from an estate auction. 106k 1-owner miles.
Little rust... No owners manual.

1) What tire size(s) are OEM for this van?
Was thinking about moving up to the 16 or 17" wheel. Pros or cons?

AT fluid was last changed at 50k, was going to have it changed again.
2) Is there a certain brand or type of AT fluid to use?

Shocks are a bit bouncy...
3) What brand of shock is reccommended? Bilstein? Rancho? Others?

Thanks in advance for your help as I get this van ready for use this winter...

I have an '89 b250 318 with throttle body injection.
Stock size tires 235 75 15's.

ATF +4 is the only available fluid you can use, possibly with the exception of Amsoil ATF, anything else will give you issues instantly or within 10k miles. Most tranny/lube shops will not use the right fluid.

Rancho 9000 are good, 5000 junk, Bilstein are very good but stiff, I love my KYB gas a justs. but monroes sensa tracs are softer squishier, if that is the feel you are looking for. KYB's are valved about midway between the bilsteins and monroes.
Lifetime warranty,~ 40 bucks a pair at rockauto or summitt

Out of interest, how much AT fluid is needed in a stock 318 B250('93)?

thanks

If you just drop the pan, it will take around 4 quarts, but a considerable amount is still in the torque converter, and otherplaces. I don't know exactly how much.
Alloro will.
