Tried a search and drew a blank.
Scoured Google and got nada.
Called the dealer with the VIN and the clown told me to look in my manual....... if it was in the manual I wouldn't have called him!
2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Van - Hi top conversion.
All stock other than the conversion package and the class III hitch I installed.
5.2L V8
46RE 4 spd auto
Can anyone please accurately tell me the maximum suggested towing capacity.
Thanks in advance.
Dave

A good weight-to-horsepower ratio is about 35:1, 35 lbs. of Gross Combined Weight (GCW of the van+the trailer) for every horsepower your engine develops. Multiply the engine's rated horsepower by 35 and subtract the weight of the van passengers and luggage. The result is the approximate ideal maximum weight you should tow, although a numerically higher axle ratio can help compensate for heavier weight.
