Exclamation This has been my problem

1992 dodge Ram B-250 v6

What is this black box ?

This has been my problem since I bought this Van. The van would just cut off while driving then cut back on, but now its worse, it will cut off and not cut back on until I tap that part.

Whats inside there ?

That's your ECM (engine computer). Since tapping it gets results, I'd take a good look at that big wiring connector. Something isn't making a good connection.

Yes, the one under the hood is for your engine, the one in/under the glove box is for the ABS brake system.

And, if you were to own one of the newer vans, you got PCM, BCM, ABS and a whole more of a mess of black boxes. LOL

And if you had a '73 like me, you wouldn't really have anything besides the ignition stuff.
