will not stay running when cold
My daughters 1997dodge 2500 van she says that when it is cold out side it will not stay running unless you power brake it...but when it is warm out side it seems to be ok any ideas?
Replace the 2-wire coolant temperature sensor. It's function is to report the temperature to the PCM so that it can adjust the air/fuel mixture accordingly. The 1-wire coolant temperature sensor is only for the dash gauge. So make sure you get and replace the correct one.
I just had the exact same problem w/ my 2000 Ram van. Any temp below freezing, or any humidity at all and she wouldn't start. I Replaced the distributor cap and rotor on Sunday afternoon. It took about 20 minutes and cost a little over 20 bucks for the parts at Napa. Now it starts stronger than it did in the summer.
This morning it was two degrees F and it started right up no problem. Maybe yours is not the same issue as mine was but thought I'd toss it out there just in case it is...
