I have a '99 Ram Van 1500 with a 3.9 that just rolled over 30,000 miles. The manual says change the air cleaner at this mileage. Where is it located and what does it look like? How do I get to it? Where do I buy it?

Remove the engine cover from inside the van. On yours you have 4 bolts on the floor and a quick release latch on each side just below the dash. Pull the engine cover towards the space between the front seats. Now set it outside the van for a few minutes.
There is a black round housing that will take up quiet an area just below the center area of the dash. On top you will find a wing nut, remove it and lift off the lid. Inside is the air filter. Any local auto part store will have the filters. Just tell them what you told us here about your van and they will give you the correct one.
