hi, i have a 1986 b150 van. the gas guage doesnt work, i was wondering, how do i check the sending unit, and the guage, or if maybe someone has had this problem before and could point me in the right direction.

See Alloro's recent post entitled "Free Online Chilton" for help with your problem - this will give you troubleshooting steps. Experience says that most likely due to age and mileage your sending unit in the fuel tank has gone bad.
