Default Leaky Rear Diff Plug

Hello, Everyone -

I'm new to the forums. Looks like lots of good info here.

My question is, I just replaced the rear pinion seal on my 2000 1500 Van and I filled up the rear diff (low because of the leak) and I now I have a leak from the fill plug. Do these go bad? Do they get mishapen, dry rot, etc....

The plugs are quite durable. I'd lay odds that you filled it a tad bit too high.

Those cap-plugs can dry or harden over time. At most auto stores in the "HELP" product selection you can usually find a package with two. Just get the right size.
