Default 94 Dodge B3500 Van won't run. Please help

Ok, I'm at wits end with this van. It's a 94 with only 48k mi. It has never gave me problems until month ago. It just will not run. It cranks over just fine but will not run. Had back alley mechanic look at it and determined fuel pump. We dropped fuel tank and installed new fuel pump which supposedly includes filter, sending unit and regulator. Anyhow, while replacing fuel pump we noticed burnt insulation on two of the thicker wires near pigtail connector and partial burn on fuel line. Fuel line was repaired but we had to cut the black wires and butte crimp them since could not find new pigtail wiring harness anywhere! We reinstalled the gas tank and whoala!, it ran. I proceeded to drive from Columbia Mo to Omaha Ne with no problem but next morning would not run again. Dropped the gas tank again to check connections on crimps and no resistance on any of the four wires on pigtail connector and no resistance on wiring harness?

Did you check the regular vehicle fuses in the fuse box? Have you then check the fusible links?

The better person to answer fuel issues is Alloro.

What do you mean by "no resistance"? Are you testing from one side of the connector to the other or between wires? If it's the latter, which wires are you testing between? Have you tested for fuel pressure or are you just assuming the pump isn't working?
