Default Wiring Diagram for stereo deck of '97 2500 Ram Van Mark III

I have a 1997 Dodge Ram 2500 conversion van Mark III edition. It had a factory am/fm deck in the front dash and a Blaupunkt cd changer and tape deck in the cabin

The speakers were two sets of 6.5″ in the cabin of the van and a pair of 6 x 9′s in the panels of the front doors.

I have removed the entire previous entertainment center and am installing new speakers powered by a 4 channel amplifier that will run off a deck in the front dash of the van. Thus no longer splitting control between the two decks. I am rewiring all the speakers directly to a 4 channel amp and will be bypassing the previously used speaker modulator that used different speakers with different components.

The stock Chrysler/Dodge am/fm tape deck in the dash was connected with two multi-wire adapter plugs but the new cd deck has a single adapter. Also there were many more wires used in the old set up then what will be used for the new deck.

Any one have a wiring diagram for this setup of which wires are keep and which are not?

Thanks!

There is no factory wiring diagram for this problem. The OEM factory wires are the two connectors in the dash which I am sure you have the aftermarket kit to connect the new unit to them. The other wiring was done by the conversion company and most conversion company's are out of business. Sadly you will have to trace out the wires to find or just run new wires to the speakers to bypass the original mess.

After swapping my '97 radio with a 2002 Dakota radio via a junkyard plug from a 2002 PT Cruiser, I found out you can't even trust the diagrams you find online!
