Bigger aftermarket brakes for 1987 B250 Van
I spent about an hour looking through thread for any oversized brake upgrades and did not come across any. There is a pretty big selection of standard pads though.
I have a B class motorhome on a ext B250 Van and looking for some heavy cool stopping power as we tour the mountains most of the time.
Not having much luck on bigger and more effective braking systems for the 1987 B250Ram Van.
Any recommendations on rear disk conversions? I am of the opinion that bigger rotors and pads on the front is where I should be spending my money.
Improving handling is also an issue.
Any takers on advice, other than drive slower and stay out of the mountains.
Thanks.

The front wheels, how many lugs are there 5 or 8? If you have the extended van chassis, 8-lug wheels would be the norm hopefully. The front calipers on an 8-lug wheel should be the HD type. These are with two large pistons and a mammoth caliper. For my 2001, both RockAuto and Summit Racing have the performance disc, calipers and pads.
