Default Upgrading to 2002

I'm thinking about upgrading from a 94 cargo maxivan to a 2002 cargo maxivan.
Since that is almost at the end of the production, should I expect to find any problems getting parts for the 02?? How long after mfg do they usually make parts for these things?

thanks

I've been thinking of selling my 2000 for a newer model as well, except that it won't be a Dodge since 2003 was the last year for a real van. The availability of parts is one of my main concerns over sticking with a Dodge. Those Ford E-Series vans are starting to look real good.

Dodge bombed when they introduced the Sprinter. But instead of correcting their mistake and going back to a full size van, they just keep perpetuating the problem.

That's for sure. I agree 100%. The Sprinter was way the heck overpriced for the market. Now they are going in the wrong direction again with this new model they are supposed to introduce next year.
Anyway, this 2002 I looked at was beat to pieces and even though he only wanted 1500 for it(150,000 miles), I'll just keep the '94 for now.

The Ford E-van offers plenty of interior room and provides the driver with a better view out the windows in all directions. Two major pluses there. Now the downside is, the Ford 5.4L is such a dog for power and isn't friendly on mpg like my Magnum 5.2L with OD. The other thing is, the Ford van's rust much quicker than any other full size vans I've seen.

Since the Dodge Ram Trucks, Dakota and a Jeep series uses the Magnum engine 5.2L and 5.9L, I'll stick to a Ram Van from 1999-2003. These vans here in the south are in excellent condition.
