but when i turn the key back to off it will hit just for a sec.

Common symptom for a bad ignition coil. Many auto parts stores will test them for you if you bring it in to them.

 

i put a new coil on but its doing the same thing

 

Didn't you have it tested before replacing it?

 

for $20.00 bucks i just put a new one on. it will fire just as the key is turned back to off

 

Check for 12v on the coil's primary wires both when the key in ON and when cranking in the START position. Since you now know the coil is good, it might not be getting power when cranking, but does get power for a split second when the key returns to ON.
