Default Factory Radio / Speaker Harness 98

Did Dodge change the factory radio wiring config for the power and speaker connectors from 1997 to 1998?

The connectors look the same (one gray, one black) and they fit together the same way but when I plug my aftermarket JVC head unit from my 97 into my 98 it does not work. It was working perfectly in my 97.

I also hear a sound like a relay clicking when I connect the JVC into the harness of my 98.

Well then, I don't know what the heck happened. Possibly the different speaker configuration between the 97 Mark III and the 98 Cargo is causing trouble. I'll have to check it out wire by wire. Thanks for the diagram Alloro.

And I was expecting it to just plug in and work -- arghhh!
