ok getting a good steam of gas. but a buddy said we mite not be getting enuff. so thinking mite have some gunk in the fuel line that is staving it just enuff at that point. but why does it pick up after the 1/4 push and run smooth till i let off ? was thinking maybe a vid of it would help ? it sounds like it is sucking alot of air but there is no lines off or bad. This is driving me even nuttier then i was lol.

UPDATE!!!!
Ok folks found it there was a piece of the old gasket in one of the lines. It was getting it the way and choking it out. It seems that it didn't get a good job done when it was redone. The guy made it right so it is all good to go. Just need alil idle adjustment. Thanks for all the help you guys

Mine is doing the same thing. My Mechanic after many hours of investigation narrowed it down to the Heat riser valve. Apparently it warms the mixture as it goes into the carb if its bad the Van will run like garbage until it is running hot (stall out sputter etc.) then once hot if the valve sticks a bit open or closed you will get the backfire and stall, surge, etc depending on how much you accelerate

good Luck
