1998 12 passenger wagon 318 engine
Some mornings the van will hardly crank like the battery is dead (it
is not.) If i shut it off it will turn right over but dies immediately when
I remove my foot from the gas pedal. I cna restart several times with the
same result. I may come back in an hour or a day and it will run perfectly.
If it starts fine it will run all day through multiple deliveries and
restarts. I can't decide between fuel pump and ignition switch but the
almost dead cranking has me stumped.

I got a 2001 12-pass with 318 (5.2L)
look at these things ...
Bad gas.
High mileage on the spark plugs.
Cap-n-Rotor.
Fuel Pump Relay.
Fuel Pump.
O2 Sensor.
Crank case breather bulb is gunked up and needs cleaning.
PVC valve is gummed up.
Just some thoughts. I've been to those places and the van has worked better.
