The oil pressure normally runs high on our van, we have the stupid gauge that just says h & l...Normally, it runs 3/4 the way up, but today, when accelerating, it went almost to the H...thoughts? What will happen if it gets too high? Any idea what's causing this? smeone told me a sending unit maybe? we also need to replace the spark plugs, that will be done tonight...97, 1500 5.9l

 

Yes it could be the sender, but more importantly the safety valve built into the oil pump could be failing.
