Was driving 1994 b-250 when it died. Check under hood and all the small wires that run across top of firewall had melted together. I got home by clipping and splicing and it runs good except no passenger side headlight, which I wired to to driver side (temp). Difficulty is I cant figure out where to trace now that it is working. Could it be a short somewhere in the headlamp, I get no voltage there. Where would I start trace. (duct tape mechanic here).

 

I have a '92 b250 and have had similar problems with wires melting under the hood. I have the shop manual with complete wiring diagrams. That is the only way I am able to diagnose the problems. You may want to consider getting a manual or at least the wiring diagrams. I got my manual on ebay and I think it was less than $30. It has saved me at least 10 times that amount of money.
