Can I use Ram truck tires/rims on my Ram van?
My 2001 Ram 2500 van takes LT225/R75/16 tires. Can I use LT265/R75/16 tires and rims from a 2001 Ram truck on it? It is usually quite loaded with motorcycle show gear.
I have 245/75/16s, and on the tightest against-the-lock turns, I get a little rub on the swaybar. Those 265s are going to be 1.1 inches larger in diameter than even my tires.
The rears will fit just fine, but expect some good rub when going to make a turn against-the-lock.
Edit: And make sure they are E-Rated tires. They are worlds better for 3/4 and 1 ton vehicles than regular load rated tires.

Yes, the LT225-75R16 Load "E" ties helps in a BIG way for handling and MPG. Chrysler issued a TSB about this for our vans that have the 8-lug rims.
DW has done the LT-245 size. Those should work well too.
The LT-235 load "D" or "E" rated tires are really non-existent. Only the XL and DL loads (tooo whimpy) are offered in that size. AVOID those. Also avoid the Yokohamas. Had those on the Ram Van. These wear out way too fast.
The BFGoodrich Commercial T/A's work very well. No road noise either. Do NOT get these in the "traction" On-/Off-Road version. Those will kill MPG.
