Has anyone added one to their Van? I drive a 97 2500 conversion so the original top tethers were removed when the transition was made. Now I need to install in EZ on top tether to use for my 5 yr olds seat and then my 3 yr old when she goes forward. HELP. Where did you install it? I just need one. How did you do it?

 

Wow, that is a tough one. I don't think the LATCH system was even in place by 1997, not sure. Forum?

You're probably going to be forced to fabricate something yourself using non-standard materials and out-of-the-box thinking for this one. Maybe a trip to the junkyard for a sealtbelt from a donor vehicle that you could fabricate into a rear seat tether. If you use the right parts you can buckle/unbuckle the seatback and also use the "cinch" feature already built-in to the hardware to make things tight.
