No spark...Help 97 Ram Van 2500 5.9
Hello, i'm new, I've been visiting dodge forum for a few years and found it very helpful in the past. so thanks to all the posters.
Now to my issue.
1997 Dodge Ram Van 2500 5.9L
Engine turns over, but will not start.
What I've done so far:
How this started; Last week, on a very heavy rain day, I was driving the van around with no problems or symptoms that I noticed. Parked the van in the driveway. Next morning, I went to leave for work, the engine would turn over, but not start. I figured i'd let it "dry out"So, I rode my motor cycle in the rain. Now its been over a week and no change.
I think what I am looking for is a trouble shoot tree based on what I've listed above. I think I can rule out CPS (new). So, what else could be causing no spark/no voltage at ignition coil.
As a note, I am mechanical, but not much of a mechanic.
Thank for your help.

Engine turns over, but will not start.
What I've done so far:
- inspected for obvious disconnected wires.
- no visible spark at plug.
- no voltage a coil (green and orange wire)
- Distributor cap in good condition and dry.
- I didnt hear the fuel pump turn on. But, could be listening in the wrong place.
- replaced Crank Position Senor. ( it raised a code about 18 months ago with no symptoms, i figured it finally died.)
- No check engine light. (not sure if bulb is burnt or some other reason. but Check Engine doesn't illuminate when ignition is turned to the on position. at this point I can check if there are any codes.

If it were my van, I'd start with this:
Get a can of starter fluid from Autozone.
Pull the doghouse and the air filter.
While cranking the engine, spray the starter fluid down into the intake.
If it starts briefly as long as I'm spraying the fluid, then shuts down, I probably have a fuel pump problem
If nothing happens, I have an ignition problem, and I would replace the ignition coil first.
It could be a relay of some sort, but ignition coils don't like moisture, especially when they get old.
