Parking Brake: Cable - Lever/Actuater Connection (Argggh)
Whoever designed how the emergency/parking brake cable connection connects to the lever/actuator should receive a Singaporian bamboo caning ala Michael Fay.
The only thing keeping the cable end from popping out either side of the lever is a flimsly .02 cent piece of aluminum. After having it pop out several times in a row (including unloading on the boat ramp) I finally rigged a small hose-type clamp to attach it to the lever. If the cable pops out of the lever one more time, I have proof there is no god.
End of bitchn.
Feel free to chime in if you had the same issues and/or came up with a more reliable method of attaching the cable in undeniably critical component.

Finally replaced the rear cables and thought I'd provide an update/tips for others.
I highly recommend Raybestos' cables for the driver & passenger rear. They have a U-Channel/clip design that securely locks the cable onto the lever/arm.

Make sure the plastic housing ends have the rubber boot on them. I went through several new parts that were missing them.
For my van, which does not seem to be altered from stock, the Dorman front cable was way too long. I wouldn't bank on it being a direct fit.
