Question 2003 Dodge Ram Van Shorty Questions.

First off Seatbelt light stays on and going to run it through inspection soon not sure if Delaware will give me trouble or not. Tried jumping wires that go to the seatbelt reels all it does is turn the airbag light on?

And second i have a set of wheels i want to put on but their 15s and the very back of the caliper rubs any aftermarkets calipers that would give me some extra clearance?

It sounds like the reel switch has failed or jammed in the "closed" position. I discovered by accident that if I disconnect the seatbelt reel sensor then my seatbelt light will turn off after a few seconds just as it should.

I found this strange because my 2000 came with 15" wheels from the factory. I looked it up and sure enough, Rock Auto shows a different brake caliper model beginning 2003. I don't know if the 2000 -2002 calipers will actually bolt up to your 2003 but I can tell you that mine can use 15" or 16" wheels without any issues.

I tried disconecting driver and passenger reel connectors both and each one individually and seatbelt light stays on, the only change is that the airbag light comes on any time the wires are disconected or jumped havent tried grounding them yet.

thanks for the info on the calipers ill run by the part shop and see if i can make it work.
