Hey guys I had my buddy install a cd player and all new speakers in my van this weekend and after we had it all installed we turned it on and all the speakers worked except the rear 3.5" that he put in. That had 2 black and 2 red wires on each speaker that were crimped together. The 6x9s below worked just fine and the 6x9s up front too and my van didn't come with 3.5"s up front or the infinity system. Is there a separate amp running these. We didn't hook up the factory pre amp wire to the cd player just the one running to the amp. Any help would be great. The stock ones work before with the factory 3's also. Thanks!!!

Those were never installed by Dodge on the 97 and earler vans. Those you have are aftermarket and may need the amp control wire connected inorder to work.

 

Have you seen this situation before? I was thinking they may have been wired into the rear 6x9s but the 3.5s should have played when the 6x9s were. Oh well I will have him work on it when he rewires a stock harness for the radio this weekend. Someone before me cut it all up and just twisted the wires together with no tape!!
