I have an '01 B2500. I use it mostly for camping and long trips. This past trip my wife complaigned that it is too hard for her to get in and out of the passenger seat. I have looked at adding an aluminum side step similar to ones I see on many pickups. I have looked at Amazon and several other sites but I am having difficulty finding something that is resonably priced and guaranteed to fit the van body.

Does anyone out there have any ideas about an add-on that will fit this van? This is not a conversion van... it used to serve as a dialy work van for a local painter before I picked it up last year. I don't really want a full running board setup.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

 

You can modify the steps used by pick ups for our van. The real mod would be the support bars from the frame out up under the door.
I am personally going to a welding fabricator today to see how much he can make diamond plate ones for me. I already have the support structure, I just need running boards.
