[8D] My 1995 Dodge Van with 155,000 miles on has had the check engine light on continously for about 6 months. When I flash the check engine light, it comes up with a code "32". This one is not in my Haynes book. Can anyone tell me what this code is or where I can look it up on the Internet? Thanks.

 

Are you sure it is 32. Reason I say is because the only years to use a code 32 is 84, 88 and 90-92.

 

I went out and did it again just to make sure I did not miss anything. The first code to flash is a "12", which just means that the battery has been unhooked. The second one to flash is a "32", I did it twice to make sure I was not counting it wrong. Then it goes to a "55", which means there are no futher codes. Is this one of those codes than can on be retrived with a scanner, even though it is a 95?
BTW, since the light has come on and stayed on, I have not seen any difference in performance or change in gas milage.

 

32 is EGR solenoid circuit. Pull the doghouse cover to see if you actually have one, if you do you need to replace either just the plastic solenoid piece or buy the whole thing from the dealer.

Brandon, Thanks for the tip. There was a broken electrical connection and I went to the bone yard, got one out of a Caravan for $4.00 and she is good to go.
