Default Installing A Transmission Temperature Guage

I have a 1999 3500 van with the 360 engine and the 46RE transmission. This van is converted to a B class RV, and weighs a little over 9000 lbs. I bought it with 72,000 miles, and at 74,000 miles I had to put in a new transmission. Because of the weight of the van and because I don't want to have to put in another transmission, I would like to monitor the transmission temperature by installing a temp. guage. Here is the one I'm thinking of getting:

I'm not that mechancal, but would like to try installing this myself. So I have a couple of questions:

First: I'm suppose to install the sensor into one of five test ports. I've been told not to use the the Rear Servo Test Port or the Overdrive Clutch Tesp Port. So which one of the remaining three would be best to use for the sensor?

Second: When I remove the bolt that goes into the test port, will I have to be ready stop transmission fluid from leaking out?

Three: If anyone else has done this, I'm curious how and where the guage is mounted in your van. I don't see any obvious places.

I would appreciate any help your can offer.

Cheers.....Vince
