Thanks again.
That sounds like a lot of weight in a 1500 swb, especially with a 3.9. The bike must weigh 700+ lbs? What did the trailer weigh loaded? Did you remove all the passenger seats except the driver and passenger? We need to leave one row of seats behind the driver/passenger, have been informed the length behind second row of seats is 108".
We are looking to come to usa for 12 months and use the van to tow a 6500lb loaded van .The van I am looking at is a 2002 , 3500 extended 15 passenger with 5.9. The van and the travel trailer are a better option if we want to leave the whole thing somewhere for a few weeks, a truck cant securely store the bike. How did you load the bike ? where did you store the ramps etc if that is what you did? I was intending to use the seatbelt mounting points to mount the front wheel cradle. as I will be doing this pretty much on my own is the roof high enough to stay sitting on the bike? or do you have to somehow get in the side door and pull the bike in? That maybe a bit of a trick me thinks.
We have done this before but in Motor Homes with a car on a dolly.
Thanks again for all your info.

You will be fine, load the trailer so you have enough tongue weight. Also I would recommend
investing in rear air bags, they stiffen the suspension. When we loaded the Goldwing
used ramps, after removing the seats you can use the seat anchor points for straps.
The center stand and straps to secure the bike worked well.
