MPG Question
Hello fellow vaners!
Just a question for my information. Averaging 77 MPH I got a flat 10MPG on the interstate. (V6)
Sound about right? It seems like once you are over 70 it drops off significantly.
Thanks

Going that speed I average 13 MPG and I'm loaded down to the max with shelves, materials, and tools.
guy, now I am concerned.
I do have the 2 degrees of advance and the 1.7 RRs. Also I have the 3 speed 32RH.
I was running the AC the whole time. I do have to say the van runs excellent now. Good power and it is smooth.
Last tank of mostly short trips was 12.5 - to be expected.
I just dont want to clog another cat.
I would suspect that it was running around 3500 RPM at that speed.
I do have a Elk conversion, so it is a little heavy...
Hmmm....

94 B250 with 5.9, 3.55 rear end, and 4sp auto. Long haul trip with 1500lbs in the back I averaged 15.5 doing 70mph. Unloaded and moving at 65, I got 17.8mpg. Towing 28ft travel trailer I get 8-10mpg at best. Normally get around 13 driving around town.
