Have a Mark3 1500 conversion van, the front end is 3500lb rating, are the upper ball joints pressed in? The have threads on the outer edge of ball joint, not talking about the shaft that goes into spindle assembly, not sure if this is screwed into the A arm or pressed in. Thank you.

 

It is screwed in and you need a special socket to remove/install them. Your other option is to replace the entire upper arm with one that has the ball joint already installed in it.
