Default Transmission shift issues

I have a 98 5.2l 1500 van that has had some of the shift issues that I have read about through different sites ( 2nd gear shift issues I believe) 0-15 mph fine; 40+ mph good.it's the 15-40 mph where it revs high til i hit 40. I have changed the trans fluid/ filter, replaced the auto trans/od solenoids, adjusted the bands. It is still not shifting where/when it should although it doesn't hit the rpm's as high as it did. Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!! Thanks!!!

Are you sure it's actually shifting into 2nd? I've seen trannies with a blown 2nd gear that will rev high in first then jump straight into 3rd.

You may be correct that it totally misses second and goes from first to third. Any suggestions???

You could take a drive and manually upshift to see if it actually shifts the 4 times, (including the OD.)
