after a rebuild (A727-36RH) that i did myself, there is no movement at all when i shift into drive or reverse. not even a jump into gear.
something electrical failed during the time the tranny was out and i had to start it by crossing the two poles on the starter. maybe it not starting normally with a key has something to do with this problem.
i think its internal to the transmission. could i have installed the overrunning clutch backwards? the rollers all flew out and i put them back on the wrong side of them little springs. IDK
the clutch pack clearances were all perfect. the end play was .008" too tight which seemed ok. any suggestions?!?! thanks

 

yep, it was the transmission oil level being too low. i filled it to the correct level which made it immediately start working again!
