Jack and Tool Kit
I bought a 1999 Dodge Van and found out the jack and tool kit was missing after I had a flat tire. Yes, it was a great day!
I have been searching the internet for one. The search engines keep bringing up Dodge 1500 Ram Truck jack and tool kits.
Are they interchangeable?
Thank you for your help

After using the stock jack once on the side of a freeway, I have opted to use a floor jack. I carry a floor jack, typically used at home, in the back of the van. I supplement that with several foot long pieces of 2x4 and 2x6 to provide some backing on soft ground. These big vans are hard enough to jack up high enough to change a tire. I almost had my van blow off the stock jack when being passed by truckers on the interstate once a long time ago. Of course you will still need the tube to lower the spare from underneath, and a junk yard would be the place to get that. I have had 3 of these large vans... an '85, a '94 and now an '01. Still use the same floor jack with all of them through the years. I also use a 25 inch long half-inch socket breaker bar with an appropriate socket for the lug nuts. This gives me enough leverage to break even really tight lug nuts by hand.
I found a fix!
A 3/8 socket extension fits in the hole for the spare tire hoist.
I tried it and it worked perfectly
I bought a floor jack that has lug sockets with it. Instead of trying to find the kit for the van which has been impossible so far, I am going to just put the ratchet and extension in the floor jack case.
Problem solved!
