Hello... In need of Mopar Mind. I have a 1992 Dodge Van / Transmission - 250 Series A.T. 8-318 (5.2L) 3 spd 39" long. It's more likely blown ( No drive, No 1, No 2.. No foward gears at all) Reverse works perfect. Question Do I buy New trans, Rebuild trans.or Is there a swap out of a newer/ Better Trans I can install...
Looks like I can buy a used transmission with 1year warranty $700-$800 dollars.
All and any help much appreciated. Bob

 

That's a good deal and I would jump at it. It will cost more to get yours fixed.
