Default 2000 Dodge 1500 Ramvan 5.2 L

Back in Dec 2013 my van started getting a intermittent no bus display on the dash. Some mechanics told me that Dodge had trouble with solder connections on the pc board.I have been a electronic technician/electrical mechanic for over 40 years so I had no problem removing the dash and soldering all the connections. After my work I was still getting the intermittent no bus message and all the gauges would quit working. The next step in the service manual suggested changing out the dash. I purchased a used dash and installed it same problem. Next I ordered a rebuilt ECM from Auto Module Source in Fort Lauderdale , Fl. I installed the rebuilt ECM and everything worked fine for about two months then the engine light came on. I hooked up my OBD tester and had a PO505 code(idle control valve). I purchased a a new unit and installed it,I reset the codes and the light stayed off for about 30 seconds and came back on.I could also idle down the street at 20 miles per hour without stepping on the gas. Then two weeks ago while on the tollway it seemed like the trans slipped into neutral, the gas gauge went to zero and the engine ran rough. I had to shift to neutral and put it back in drive and it seemed like it started to work.I pulled to the side of the road and hooked the OBD tester. I had the following codes P1762,PO505 and PO462. I called Auto Module Source and they shipped me another ECM. When I installed the replacement the fuel gauge worked but the truck would not start-no codes.I put the old unit back in the truck would start and I had the three codes. They shipped out a third module. I installed it and everything worked fine until I was 25 miles from home and made a stop, when I came back out the van would not start and I had the no bus display,I hooked up the Actron OBD tester and it would not read anything. I had to be towed home.I called them again and they told me I have a short in the wiring harness. They a shipping out another unit. When I got home I looked up reviews on this company and most of the reviews were negative for modules that did not work .I think they are just spray painting a module and shipping it out. Should I pull the wire harness apart and test all the wires or should I find another source for modules.

Default Intermittent shut off

Same thing happened to me. After throwing parts at it, it would get intermittently better until it wouldn't work at all. Dealer said it was the PCM. They replaced it and a week later....same problem. Shut off about a mile from home. They diagnosed that the new PCM was fried. Dumped about $2500 more into diagnosing what they claimed was shrinkage in the wiring harness (the coating on the wires left parts exposed, which were corroding). They replaced the harness and computer at the same time and it has been fine for about a year and a half now.
