Default Bench to buckets?

Hi. I'm going to buy a 99 Ram Van 2500 tomorrow. It currently has benches as the primary passenger seating. I was wondering if it is possible to switch to buckets? I saw some Ram vans have a pair of buckets as the first row behind the driver. Looking at the Craigslist ad though, I see it hooks into some cutouts in the floor so I was afraid it won't work as I assume cutouts won't be there for buckets...? Figured I'd ask here though and be sure.

Also, on an unrelated note, I was looking on Crutchfield to see what kind of speakers it takes. It said 6x9 front door. It looks to me like the factory speaker location is in the very bottom of the door and would be thus muffled by the seat when the door is closed. Is that really where they are? How bad is it then, is it worth putting decent speakers in if they are going to be blasting into a seat?

Thanks!

Sure, you can take the benches out very easily. They are designed that way.

As for the bucket or captain chairs for the second row, most of the conversion van makers just put bolts through steel plates that stick up through the floor for mounting.

There have been some that took a used bench frame and modified it to hold two bucket/captain chairs. This way, they are removable easily.
