It's under the dash, mounted to the steering column. There will be a metal rod that runs down the column from the key switch that moves the ignition switch. If you remove the switch keep in mind that once the screws are loose it will slide up and down the column a bit. This is an adjustment to coordinate the position of the key with the switch functions, acc, off, on, run, start.

Thank you very much for the reply, alloro Sorry I did not reply sooner, but I had pretty much given up anyone responding here. I did find one link visible near the brake booster,,should be there be more in that location? I will try bypassing them to see it that is the [problem.. It could very well be that..sonce that when I put the jumper wire in the fuse box, the ignition switch itself appear to work ok. My main concern is the run circuit anyways..since just starting the van is lust a brief situation anyhow..thanks again
