Can someone tell me what years fit the same hood as the 1996 ram van 3500 also isn't half and three quarter same????

94, 95, 97. 1500 2500 should fit as well.

All hoods are the same 94-97, 98-2003

 

Note that 98-03 hoods are not listed as interchange compatible. May be related to "In 1998, the van went through the most thorough update since its introduction in 1971. The engine was moved forward in the chassis to improve crash protection, and the front end sheetmetal was redone with a longer nose to accommodate this change."

Having said that, I haven't personally tried it.

 

This quote is actually from the Dodge van wikipedia page and is not accurate. 2nd generation Dodge is '79 to '93. The Dodge van 3rd generation redesign actually occurred in 1994. There is however a minor cosmetic redesign that occurs partway through 1998.

So I stand corrected. Hoods, front doors, front fenders, front bumpers, bumper caps, grills and front glass:

'94 -97 are interchangeable

'98 -'99 should be but be careful! double-check before buying. Changes apparently occurred mid-year so some 1998s have the older style '97 sheet metal and some '99 vans I've personally removed parts from have 2000 sheet metal.

2000 -2003 are interchangeable

1500 2500 and 3500 all have identical body parts. You may want something like this to remove the huge ugly plastic badges:
