Hello Everyone,

I am new to the forum but not new to Ram vans. I had a 1991 B350 silver in color with a red interior. It had a 5.2 liter engine. I sold the van and now I am kicking myself for it! . My dad also owned a yellow 1978 b100 ( I think) also with a 318 back when I was a kid.

Now I am looking for another. This time I want a shorty ("109.6 wheelbase), however, I have not seen any with a 5.2l for sale. They all have 3.9l, and I have my heart set on a 318! I also want it to be port injected so I guess that would bring me to 1992 and up. What would be the simplest and least expensive way to get a 318 in a shorty?? What would have to be changed? Which model year(s) would be the best for this project? What about the ECM? Any insight for this project would be greatly appreciated.

Friend of mine had a late 1990s shorty with no windows and a Magnum 318 and 3.92 gears, it was pretty speedy. I'd just keep looking, Craigslist seems to change every hour and sometimes surprises do pop up when you least expect them to.
