You sure it's not blowing out the defrost?

When you select MAX on any of the systems, all you're doing is commanding the RECIRCULATION door to close off to outside air. You need to find out what's going on with that actuator or the door. May be a vacuum leak in the actuator or the control head "manifold" where the lines seat.

It appears the vacuum is being diverted the wrong way rather than a leak.

Either the vacuum motor or vacuum line that controls the fresh air door is leaking/disconnected.

Far right end of the dash up towards the top of the HVAC case. The actuator is high on the right end I believe.

Starting in 98 I think it's under the hood right next to the blower box on the passenger side. There is a vacuum actuator there that operates it.

Ok, thanks. We try to avoid anything beyond 98-2000 anymore. Don't see much other than my own 98 Dakota anymore.
