I'm going on a long road trip soon and I need to install my spare in the rear to make room on the inside. Any recommendation on spare mounts for the rear left door? I'm probably going to put a full sized spare on it. Something with a lock would be good. I looked on amazon but I wasn't really sure.

get one from a junk yard

 

Try and get one that folds down so that you can still use your rear door. The door mounted ones are hard on the rear doors. We threw ours out and put the tire back in the van.

If there is run under the van, that is how the 1998 to 2003 carry the full size spare. Just keep the tire away from exhaust and the driveshaft.

 

Thank you. I don't think there is space underneath but I will check it out tomorrow. I'm probably going to get new tires soon anyway.

 

on my 1996, there is no room under the rear deck, that is where my gas tank is... mine is mounted on the rear right door
