Try to replace the alternator in my brothers 1989 dodge ram b250 with a 318 but ran into a couple of issues. I managed to disconnect everything from the alternator and unmount it butbi can't find a way to get it out of the engine bay. I don't want to start taking things off the engine without knowing if I should or not. I looked this up on the internet but could not find anything like the situation I am in.

 

can you take a picture? if it is a bracket in the way, taking it off is fine... it isn't like you are going to take off the water pump trying to get the alternator out
