Default Van Wheels

Hi, new here. I just bought a 2003 Ram Van 1500. It came with no spare tire or rim. The rims on the van are the chrome factory 16 inch rims with 5 big oval holes. I've been searching everywhere for a steel 16 inch wheel to use as a spare. Even called some tire shops, and they are no help.
What to do? All the rims I'm finding are either 15 inch or for different years. I'm totally new to Dodge. What fits what? A lot of the online wheel places don't even include this van in their search function.
Really need help, as I'm reluctant to drive it without a spare.

How do Dodge rimes locate? hub concentric or off the lugs?

They are on Ebay. Can also go to local junkyard to find one. They can locate one for you and ship it to their yard.

I've been trying eBay, and the only thing I find are 15 inch. I tried 2 local tire shops and no luck. Even the guy at BIG O tires couldn't find one. Haven't tried a junk yard as I live in the boonies and they are scarce. I've tried a bunch of the online wheel sellers and they all have 15 inch.

Your wheels are 15in

Also the OE spare is a generic 15in steel wheel.

Nope, they are 16 inch, unless someone put 16 inch tires on 15 inch rims. They are factory Dodge chrome rims with 5 big oval holes. I've seen many Ram Conversion vans with this style rim, so they must also have 16 inch spares.
Today I drove 80 miles round trip to a tire shop. He said no problem. The rim he had was a chrome Dodge rim like you see on Ram pick ups, with the "sawtooth" style holes. The lug pattern fit, but the center hole was too small.

These rims seem to have significant overlap where the bead is. I could see how a 16 would fit.

I have the same wheels and they are 15. If you measure from the inside location of the balancing weight to the same spot on the other side of the rim, it is 15.

The conversion plaque along with the OEM plaque both state 235/75/XL15.

FWIW, I have seen aftermarket repros rims that are larger but still look the same on other makes of cars.

I was kidding of course when I said someone put 16 on 15 inch rims. This style rim comes in 15 and 16. Mine are defiantly 16 inch. I can find this style, but would prefer a used cheap painted steel wheel. But I can only find those with 8 lugs.

The factory service manual says there are only 15in 5 lug and 16in 8 lug wheels. Those are the only two styles. There is no 16in 5 lug wheel from Dodge for this van. The wheels you have would have to be aftermarket as they are not stock. So you have no chance of finding the specific wheel you want at a junkyard if you are looking for one from off of your van. You probably would have to buy the one above or research what other vehicles have 5-139.7 16" pattern .

If you look at the links I posted you'll see the place is selling reconditioned factory 15 and 16 inch wheels in this style. I ended up buying one of the same style rims, but not chrome, it's painted silver. 16 inch and $106.00 delivered. I did find one junk yard that didn't have any but found one in San Francisco, about 600 miles from here.

There seems to be a general lack of information for these vans. When ever I do a search all that comes up is Ram pick ups.

Did you measure your wheel as stated in the video I posted.

I have looked at dozens of these vans, and never have seen a 5 lug 16in wheel. The FSM says they don't exist.

I am not trying to say you don't have what have you have, but I have only seen old GMC trucks and some Jeeps with 5 lug 16in wheels. They are very uncommon in the industry.
