OK... I'll bite, what wire to what part was connected wrong? Inquiring minds might like to know.

In the recent and further past I've used additives like lucas engine treatment to try n help the loss of oil I find every 6-700 miles give or take. Mine has 288k on the clock now and so far as i can remember being sole owner since 99 it never had the plenum replaced. There was a recall early on like in 00 or 01 that I had taken it in for work on that had something to do with the engines upper end, heads, intake... I just don't recall anymore.
I have the hughes kit sitting in the garage still and will attack that job sometime soon but likely spring time now since I procrastinate but also work a lot.
Back to the point, Not sure that adding lucas or adding restore helps or not but hasn't hurt anything so far as I can tell, might just buy a small amount of time is all.
Past few oil changes I've done instead of using the additive and 10/30w M1 I've have been using mobile1 high mileage 10/40 along with new mopar or wix filter year round. I figured about 5-6 qts for every 5k oil change
With that, honestly don't see any change in oil loss... if anything it's same if not a tiny bit better.

Personally I think your best bet is get the hughes plenum kit, pay for the fix by a shop that won't charge an arm n leg and that you have the impression you can trust / or if confident then do it yourself it and be done with it and enjoy your van.
